In July, Momentum posted a query
on Facebook asking people with MS
to answer an online survey on smartphones. Over 500 responded.
Seventy-seven percent used their
smartphones to keep track of
medications and appointments. Even
more people (81%) used them to
check news, sports and weather. Many
used them for entertainment, such as
watching movies or listening to music
(71%). Thirty-four percent used accessibility features, such as dictation apps.
Some people wrote that they also
used their smartphones for GPS
directions, calorie counting, exercise
monitoring and taking photos.
