Riding with MS

When I was about 40— before I was diagnosed
with multiple sclerosis—I
rediscovered the fun of riding
a bike. I started with weekend
recreational rides, and then
I escalated to multiday rides
covering hundreds of miles.
In 2003, I began
to join my cycling-
group buddies
on annual trips.
In 2005, we
rode the Bike
MS: Tour
de Farms in northern Illinois.
