“Baby Time: MS and
Starting a Family”
Most readers who responded to our
online survey said they planned to
spend time enjoying nature, including trips to the beach or walking in
the woods. The second most popular
plan was to spend time visiting friends
or family. “Anything I can find that’s
enjoyable and affordable,” wrote one
reader.
Reasons to stay at home included
cost (62%) and MS symptoms like
fatigue (63%). In fact, fatigue was
cited by the majority of readers (78%)
as their number one challenge to traveling. Heat-exacerbating symptoms
followed at 64%; many readers told us
that they took their vacations in the
fall or winter.
When asked what travel advice
they would give others, readers
advised to take it slow, to do your
research, to carry lots of water, but
“Go!” One reader added, “Don’t let
MS stop you from experiencing life.”
