Stretching helps
Your column, Mobility Alert,
has helped me a lot. I used to
get muscle cramps every morning. But I have not had any since
I started doing the stretches in
“Keep Moving!” (Fall 2009).
I’m very thankful for the clear
instructions.

A close call
I really appreciated your article
“No Way Out” (Spring 2010). I
work at a medical college and was
on the fourth floor of my building when the fire alarm went off.
I had recently suffered a fall and
was using my cane. I went slow
and got out of the building,
but I wonder what would have
happened if my mobility had
been worse. Even some medical facilities are not prepared to
deal with persons with disabilities during an emergency.

Diagnosis didn’t
stop mom
Your article “Baby Time?” (
Winter 2010–2011) was a great read.
I had my daughter in March
2006 and shortly after her birth
I started experiencing symptoms. I was diagnosed in April
2007. Now I had this beautiful
baby girl and all I could think
was whether I was going to pass
this on to her. It took me and
my husband a while, but after
researching genetics we decided
If You or Someone You Know Has MS
Studies show that early and ongoing treatment with an FDA-approved therapy can reduce future disease activity and improve quality of life for many people with MS. Talk to a health-care professional or
